Supporting an inherited application for a client left hanging

Toronto

Industry: Business Services
Client Base: Toronto
Technology Solutions: Laravel, Centos
Client Since: 2017

Background

Our client had developed a custom web application using a third-party company, to deliver part of their provided services to customers. Phase one of the application was built by the third-party company on a Laravel platform.

Problem

Our client had run into issues developing phase two of the application. Employee turnover and other issues at the third-party meant that phase two was behind schedule, largely incomplete, and as we discovered built on a different technology base than phase one.

Solution

We ported and completed the phase two implementation to use the same Laravel platform as phase one.

Since the deployment of phase two we have assisted our client further in increasing system automation and integration so that the application is more usable for their customers and employees spend less internal time on administrative tasks.

We continue to support both phases of the application, with new feature development as required since. Server management including monitoring, general administration and patch management is also performed by us.

Results

Client application is up to date with platform standards and still servicing core customers after several years. Client has been able to gain new business with API integrations between their platform and various customer portals and services.
